Black Book Launches Updated Mobile Survey Apps for Cybersecurity Stakeholders

Black Book, the acknowledged leader of unbiased and vendor agnostic information security and data services research, announced today the release of their new mobile application. The native iOS and Android applications are available immediately on Apple’s App Store and Google Play. The beta release of these new Black Book apps has collected over 9,000 user viewpoints from cybersecurity systems and services worldwide since May 25.

The enhanced functionality was created to support the continued expansion of mobile cybersecurity surveying initiatives for Black Book’s more than 50,000 users. The mobile application allows information technology specialists, management and other stakeholders to take advantage of Black Book’s centralized user satisfaction surveying and ad hoc polling platform. With Black Book, enterprises of all sizes can give invaluable feedback to peers, potential buyers, investors and vendors directly on their product and service performance with the goal of improving data protection and information security across all industries and sectors.

“The survey development team has put in a tremendous amount of work to make this release possible over the three months,” said Doug Brown, founder of Black Book Market Research and Black Book Security. “We are thrilled that the company’s success continues to allow us to do what we do best – provide competitive insight from the key performance indicators and functionality of cybersecurity managed services and outsourcing, consultants, products and software.”

Black Book survey users are now able to complete their satisfaction responses on their smartphones and tablets, as well as online and through live call center interviews focused on the cybersecurity stakeholder.

Black Book screens responses to identify fraudulent votes, which are eliminated from the final tallies. Respondents are asked to rate cybersecurity vendors, consultants and product manufacturers on a 0-10 rating scale, 0 being deal-breaking dissatisfaction and 10 being exceeding all expectations on 18 unique key performance indicators. Scores shown have been rounded to the nearest hundredth of a point. In the event of a true tie, top-rated consultants will share the same ranking. In most survey sets, respondents could also rate optional characteristics and provide other relevant information which are not included in the overall scores. A minimum number of responses is necessary for a consultant firm or vendor to be eligible for inclusion in the Black Book ratings. Some firms are eligible to be rated in multiple categories; they are scored individually and independently for each category.
