CounterTack and NTT Security Announce Partnership

CounterTack and NTT Security Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-Ku, Tokyo; CEO: Jun Sawada), the specialized security company of NTT Group today announced a partnership to broaden NTT Security Corporation’s Managed Endpoint Detection and Response Service with CounterTack’s Endpoint Threat Platform (ETP).  The dynamic prevention and protection at scale offered by ETP rounds out NTT Security’s service offering with proven capabilities that allow enterprises worldwide to detect and respond to unknown malware, insider threat, data loss prevention, fileless malware, forensics and more.

With NTT Security’s services global reach into large enterprises through its operating companies, such as Dimension Data, NTT Communications and NTT DATA and a total addressable market of tens of millions of endpoints in Japanalone, the endpoint detection, response and dynamic prevention capability will be fully integrated with NTT Security’s advanced security services offering and will be available to new and existing NTT Security customers as part of a total Managed Detection and Response service.

NTT Security will use CounterTack’s end point advanced threat detection and response platform, in addition to other existing partners in their integrated suite of applications, to expand their managed security services to detect dynamic behaviors like PowerShell attacks and memory-only malware as well as rapid response to ransomware and other fast-moving threats. This further enables NTT Security’s proven threat detection and response capability using their proprietary SIEM platform. NTT Security’s offering greatly strengthens their customer’s endpoint security posture while eliminating the need to staff hard-to-find cybersecurity experts.

“We completed an extensive and thorough evaluation of almost every product in this category and CounterTack’s Endpoint Threat Platform (ETP) stood out with distinctive security capabilities, high performance and most importantly, it’s ability to scale to match even our largest customer environments,” said Jun Sawada, CEO of NTT Security.” CounterTack brings the depth of security value that we required and is backed by an analysis and response team and a company vision consistent with our own. In the end, it was clear that CounterTack provided one of the best available technologies to protect our customers against current and future endpoint threats,” said Mike Hrabik, CTO of NTT Security.

ETP has established itself as the only true enterprise endpoint detection, response and prevention solution with a comprehensive suite of features. ETP includes Digital DNA with its one-of-a-kind, patented real-time binary analysis for processes running in memory. With the ability to behaviorally detect and act on advanced malware, zero-days, insider threats, movement of sensitive files, multi-tenancy, cloud or on-premise deployment, easily scalable infrastructure that supports deployments of hundreds of thousands of endpoints, and an underlying architecture that can ingest and process massive volumes of endpoint telemetry data with real-time analytics, ETP was the clear choice for NTT Security.

“NTT Security and CounterTack are joining forces to address our customers’ most pressing endpoint security issues with impact and resolve,” said Neal Creighton, CEO of CounterTack. “NTT Security subjected CounterTack to a very sophisticated test regiment that provided clear proof that ETP was able to detect and automatically respond to current threats such as Kovter, WannaCry and NotPetya.”

CounterTack’s partnership with NTT Security and joint customer experience is designed to provide new insights that will drive product innovations and expand the security value of ETP enabling NTT Security to continue to differentiate their services, gain market share and accelerate growth.
