LogPoint Strengthens Channel and Engineering Teams With New Leadership for the Americas

LogPoint, the next-generation SIEM and big data analytics company, today announced Chris Sullivan will join the Boston-based LogPoint team as senior director channels and alliances for the Americas. LogPoint has also appointed Mike Vaillancourt as the new director of sales engineering for the Americas.

With this expanded leadership team, LogPoint will continue to grow within the Americas. Earlier in 2018, LogPoint announced its entry into the U.S. with Boston as the hub for LogPoint’s management, sales, marketing, pre-sales and support functions for the region. Since establishing U.S. operations, LogPoint has secured agreements with large MSSPs and expects to provide its SIEM platform to at least 100 U.S. corporations before the end of 2018.

LogPoint has built a strategic partner program that currently includes more than 50 leading IT and business process service providers, cybersecurity providers and MSSPs globally. As senior director channels and alliances, Sullivan will play a key role in expanding the Channel Partner program across the Americas to deliver implementation management, analysis, training, use-case development, support, maintenance and other value-added services to LogPoint customers and partners.

“With a proven track record for success, Chris will spearhead the buildout of LogPoint’s Channel Partner program in the Americas,” said Soren Laustrup, LogPoint founder and managing director of Logpoint Inc. In this role, Chris will focus on scaling regional sales efforts and enhancing LogPoint’s standing in the Channel Partner community by helping our partners maximize their business potential in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity market.”

“While other vendors in the SIEM market have been diminishing their emphasis on Channel Partner programs and increasingly taking ownership of profitable customer relationships, LogPoint has been moving in the opposite direction,” said Chris Sullivan as senior director channels and alliances for the Americas. “We believe in the exceptional value our partners provide to their customers and look forward to expanding our relationships in the U.S. and beyond to better serve our customers.”

Sullivan joins LogPoint with over 20 years of technology experience from companies such as Cisco, Lancope, F5 Networks and Secure Computing (now part of McAfee). Most recently, he was responsible for worldwide business development for the Stealthwatch product within Cisco. At Lancope, Chris was responsible for worldwide channels and alliances and was a key member of the leadership team that led Lancope to acquisition by Cisco.

Additionally, Vaillancourt will serve as an evangelist for LogPoint’s robust enterprise SIEM solution as the new director of sales engineering for the U.S. He joins LogPoint with 20 years of experience in the cybersecurity and network engineering field from companies such as Cisco, Lancope, Motorola and AirDefense.
